Six gears is a recent member of the “gst” family of decks, and one of the current strongest. Tools like Egregious Entryism targeting Sycophant to Deity and “hyperdraw” like Scour the City or Changing Times provide greater consistency. The bulk of the strategy revolves around trying to turbo out the decks primary combo, spamming lifeloss effects into Helliura. This deck does excellent vs a lot of fair decks that find it hard to interact with its slew of nonlinear value pieces, making this deck a great counterpick. Due to the deck’s nature of being concentrated in a few specific hyper-powerful cards (those being Sycophant to Glory, Mindlinker, and Stoneware Stranger), it is naturally highrolly. While this is offset to a certain extent by a large amount of cardflow and a handful of tutoring effects, it is a weakness that must be considered. This also means that when players have “silver bullet” counters like Direct Action to obliterate Sycophant or Mindlinker the deck can struggle to put out value. RY gears is overall a great combo deck, and a relatively simple one compared to other unfair decks, however it is best used alongside another deck to cover for bad matchups.
