Apocryspectres
Previously one of the worst decks in the game, Apocryspectres has received a full rework and other supporting cards, allowing it to function as more than a highroll dependant knock-off aggro deck. Apocryspectres are a Monogreen aggro deck utilising early game suspensions to both bypass enemy fighters and accelerate their own gameplan by buffing their fighters, debuffing enemy fighters and gaining card advantage. Apocryspectres is able to dominate the early game with above rate fighters like a 2c 500/400 Guardian of Soul when paired with an Enchanted Flora and now mitigate their extremely hand-dumpy strategies through new card advantage additions such as Junior Permit, LMH_Hutch, and Contumacious Astrobleme, countering Monogreen's critical weakness of having no draw to recover from hand dumping early game. Alongside these dominant early game bodies remains bodies that can grow extremely quickly, like Ancestral Vanguard, forcing the opponent to focus their control on them and keep the core Apocryspectre engines alive. Apocryspectres also utilises monogreen removal tools other than suspension to prevent the opponent from playing while still snowballing themselves, like Chef and Alpha Brick’s Bestowment for single target and barcode for AOE, with inbuilt control tools like Ptenda's Bodyguard. However, it is important to note that Apocryspectres are still a green aggro deck, and suffer from being completely shut down in the early game through wipes and early game engine denial, such as killing Contumacious before they are able to suspend it, and depending on the hand can struggle severely on certain matchups such as swarm without proper AoE. Therefore, Apocryspectres have proven themselves to be a competent and competitively impressive aggro deck with the rework and new card additions, but can still be countered with early game control and bread, although to a lesser extent than previously.
